The diploma in Community Health Assistant course is designed to provide advanced training and practical skills for individuals interested in gaining knowledge and educational empowerment for working in and supporting community health initiatives and providing healthcare services in community settings as individuals and or collaboratively working with organizations. These programs emphasize preventive care, health promotion, health interventions, and community engagement to address the health needs of diverse populations and communities.
The two-year course equips individuals with the essential knowledge, competencies and skills required to function as professional and qualified Community Health Assistants. This community and public health-oriented field of study provide advanced training and practical skills for individuals aspiring to work as community health professionals in efforts to promote and enhance public health. The programs emphasize a comprehensive understanding of community health principles, holistic health and social needs for the people and society, clinical skills, leadership, and health projects management in community healthcare settings.
