Diploma in Mortuary Science

The diploma in Mortuary Science program provides comprehensive training in the science and practice of mortuary services, including embalming, funeral arrangement, body preparation, and grief counseling. Students will learn about anatomy, physiology, pathology, embalming techniques, restorative art, funeral service management, and legal regulations governing mortuary practices. Practical experience in mortuary facilities and funeral homes will be provided to prepare graduates for careers in the funeral service.

The program provides specialized training for individuals interested in pursuing a career in funeral service, offering opportunities to serve communities with dignity, compassion, and professionalism during times of loss and bereavement.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

KCSE Mean Grade C- (Minus) and Above

DURATION:

Two (2) Years, (6 Terms)

INTAKES: January, March, May, July, September, November

JOBS AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

Graduates of the Diploma in Mortuary Science program may pursue job opportunities in various settings such as, morgues or funeral homes, medical centres, hospitals and healthcare facilities, locally or abroad.
