A Diploma in Social Work & Community Development qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable them to be certified as a Social Worker. It involves managing community resources, conducting community empowerment, coordinating community projects, conducting community awareness training and sensitization, carrying out advocacy and lobbying activities carrying out crisis and disaster management, coordinating conflict resolution and management, performing home-based care and support, coordinating rehabilitation programmes, carrying out child welfare programmes, conducting case management and managing community-based groups
A Diploma in Social Work & Community Development will serve to prepare students for a career and equip students with knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competencies that will enable them to work with all types of vulnerable people, groups and communities to help them learn to live better lives.

KCSE Mean Grade C- (Minus) and above or Social Work and Community Development Level 5 Qualification

Two (2) Years: Six (6) Terms
